‘Orwell Lady' cruises start and finish at Orwell Quay, Ipswich Wet Dock.
Orwell Quay is adjacent to Neptune Quay - a good landmark is the luxury apartments in Neptune Square, at the end of the Neptune marina berths, which directly overlook the Orwell Lady's working berth shown on the map picture below. There is car parking adjacent to the berth in the I.B.C. Car Park also shown on the map.
We are currently seeking approval to have signs posted in the Wet Dock and the Car park showing directions to Orwell lady's working berth. The map shown below is also printed on the back of tickets for public cruises and inside our Public Cruise Timetable brochure.

Directions from the A14 Trunk Road to Orwell Lady's Working Berth at Orwell Quay, Ipswich Wet Dock
Come off A14 at the A137 exit, signed Manningtree & Ipswich Docks - this is the exit before the Orwell Bridge if coming from Bury St Edmunds direction, and the one after the Orwell Bridge if coming from Felixstowe direction.
At the top of the slip road turn left if coming from Bury St Edmunds direction ( or right and cross over A14 if coming from Felixstowe direction), down long hill with an artificial ski slope on right, at bottom at mini roundabout turn left into Wherstead Rd and follow that for about a mile. At first and second roundabouts go straight over, at third roundabout bear left, through pedestrian lights and over Stoke Bridge.
At roundabout just after Stoke Bridge turn right (second exit with Novatel Hotel in front of you) and get in right hand lane. 20 yards to next roundabout, turn right (second exit) into the one way system. Keep in right hand lane. Go through 2 or 3 set of lights keeping straight on in right hand lane.
At set of lights where you reach T junction and have to turn right, once through lights get in left hand lane. 100 yards in front of you are the new apartment blocks by the Wet Dock. Turn left at the T junction in front of the new apartments. 150 yards on, you come to the roundabout at the bottom of Bishops Hill - turn right into Duke St, Orwell Quay on the right about 150 yds.
