The river cruise vessel ‘Orwell Lady' is suitable for day trips, family parties, music and buffets. ‘Orwell Lady' has an open seated top viewing deck and fully enclosed lower saloon, with panoramic viewing windows and toilet facilities.

She is equipped with up to date DOT approved Marine Life Saving Equipment. The vessel has a comprehensive bar and snack food is for sale on Public Cruises. The seating capacity is 118 for day trips, which is reduced to around 65+ for private charter/party bookings to allow the hirer and guests greater freedom to move from one deck to another.

Orwell Lady operates two cruises on the Orwell River.
The Pin Mill Cruise
Lasting approximately two and a half hours taking in the most beautiful wooded stretches of the River Orwell. Once through the historic locks we pass under the Orwell Bridge and down river to Pin Mill taking in the majestic sights of Freston Tower and the beautiful surrounding Suffolk countryside. At Pin Mill we turn and return to Ipswich.
The Harwich Harbour Cruise
Lasting around three and a half hours, journey down the River Orwell past Pin Mill to the Stour Estuary. The cruise includes the opportunity to see from the water (weather permitting) the UK's largest container Port at Felixstowe, Harwich Harbour, and historic Harwich. We then turn in Harwich Harbour and return back up the river to Ipswich.

2012 Afternoon Tea Cruises
Orwell Lady have increased the number of English Afternoon Tea cruises added to her cruise timetable for 2012 due to their popularity in previous years. Why not take time out to enjoy a lazy afternoon cruising down the River Orwell whilst indulging in a delicious English Afternoon Cream Tea supplied and served by one of our on board caterers, Mary Duggan Fine Cuisine.

Wartime Memories Cruises
There are two cruises this year. The first is on Tueday 5th June 2012 to Harwich Harbour, departing at 2pm and returning 5.30pm at £14 per person. The second cruise on Friday 8th June is with live band Tyler Kemp conducting a singalong at £19.50 per person. Relive those wartime memories one more time!
Wine Tasting Cruises
These will take place on Friday 29th June and Friday 17th August to Harwich Harbour departing at 7.30pm, returning at 11pm. The price of only £29.50 per person (strictly limited to 50 passengers per cruise) also includes a hearty finger buffet supper. The finest wines and the finest scenery - what more could you ask!
Themed Night and Musical Cruises
In addition to the Public Cruises, Orwell River Cruises hold various seasonal and special theme nights. The Theme Cruise dates and sailing times are shown on the Public Cruise Timetable page. For further details of themes, etc check out the Theme Nights cruise page. The cruises last approximately three and a half hours as the sailing destination is the same as Harwich Harbour Cruise .
